BOOKING THE VILLAGE HALL

HALL HIRE CHARGES
The hourly rate for the hire of the Village Hall is £18, with a reduced rate of £9 for the residents of Harringworth and Shotley and, by exception, special rates for regular bookings. The Bookings Manager may consider a discounted one-off rate if applicable.
Different rates apply when the hirer’s event has a ticket price. The hourly rate will be £24, and for villagers £12.
The booking fee includes use of any equipment (tables, chairs, crockery etc.) with an additional fee for the use of the kitchen for food preparation (£25 – £50, depending on what catering is planned).
Non-residents are required to pay a £50 refundable security deposit for an event booking (not applicable for regular bookings). A cleaning service is available for an additional £35 fee.
We offer a 10% discount to hirers who are raising money for approved UK charities.
The Hall has a drop-down screen, and a projector can be hired for an additional charge of £20 (£10 for residents). There is also staging available – please ask for details when booking.
Setting up and tidying away time should be included in the number of hours booked.
Between the months of November and February inclusive, a heating/energy levy of £1 per hour, in addition to the hourly rates, may apply.
There is no charge for the use of the Hall’s broadband/internet facilities.
The Bookings Manager will provide a quotation for each booking. If the quotation is accepted and the booking form completed, the Bookings Manager will issue an invoice a week before the event, including the refundable security deposit, for payment within three calendar days of issue. Hirers should settle invoices by electronic bank transfer. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to accept payment in cash.
