COVID-19 GUIDANCE

Coronavirus News Special

We start the New Year with Harringworth in lockdown and urge everyone to follow the ‘stay at home’ restriction very seriously. Locally, the number of Coronvirus cases are rising very fast and we all need to rethink how we do the most basic of activities such as shopping and collecting prescritions.

Our network of volunteers, organised by the Parish Council, remain in place. Please do not hesitate to reach out to get help and we would welcome any new volunteers who feel they can join the team. The support is not just for those over 70 or shielding – we can all find ourselves in a self-isolating scenario when everything we need has to be dropped off at the door! See the contact list below.

We anticipate the vaccination process will start to include villagers very soon. The local surgeries have asked you to check your mobile number is registered with them to speed communication and you have your NHS number to hand.  If you cannot get to the surgery or vaccination centre on your own you should contact the Harringworth volunteer service for guidance.

Message from Uppingham Surgery

As a practice and as part of your community we strongly urge you to listen and take on board the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) advice that is being shared through official government and NHS channels. Please visit the Government website for further information.

Appointments

We continue to ask patients a few questions about their current health before a call back with a clinician will be facilitated. No routine face to face appointments are available for pre-booking; you will be required to speak with a clinician before an appointment can be booked.

Prescriptions

To reduce the footfall we are not permitting entrance to the practice for the collection of prescriptions. Please collect via the back of the surgery at our collection point. We continue to issue a 28 day supply in line with NHSE guidance.

You can submit non-urgent questions via our website

Thank you for your continued support,
Uppingham Surgery
